Privacy Policy

What personal data we collect and how we use it
 
As a small charity, we hold only limited categories of personal data comprising of contact details for our members, including names, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
 
We use members’ details to:
  • Administer members’ donations, including processing gift aid;
  • Keep a record of our members;
  • Support fundraising; and
  • Keep our members informed as to developments or events.
 
How such data is stored
 
Such data is held securely both electronically by the Secretary at Lightfoots LLP and in hard copy form by the Membership Secretary. Members’ details are not accessible by or shared with any third parties.
 
Direct Marketing
 
We consider that our members reasonably expect us to use such data for the limited purposes set out above, that such processing is proportionate and has minimal privacy impact. We will not, however, send direct marketing by e-mail to members without obtaining their prior consent.
 
Accessing and Updating Personal Information
 
Members can let us know as to any changes to their details, request access to any information we hold about them or let us know if they no longer wish to receive direct marketing e-mail correspondence from us by contacting our Secretary by e-mail to [email protected].
 
Members also have a right to ask us to stop processing personal data, and if it’s not necessary for the purpose provided to us (e.g. processing a donation or registering for an event) we will do so.
